Slate is looking for a charismatic Pickleball coach that can deliver our high standards and embrace our world‑class values and methodology. The ability to teach and develop players, run effective leagues, lead joyful special events, design addictive classes, and grow the game itself are critical traits of Slate coaches. There must be a passion not just for playing and improving, but also education and the power of learning.
PositionResponsibilities
- Leading all our program offerings while meeting our upscale coaching and customer service standards.
- Assisting in growing our programming by promoting participation in all offerings at Slate, while having a thorough understanding of all what Slate offers.
- Attending all staff meetings and trainings.
- Organizing their court time and overall private lesson book, ensuring proper communication with members and fellow employees where necessary.
- Creating lessons plans for all STAGE programming before each class.
- Being a team player and a positive force on and off the court, understanding and projecting what Slate represents in the industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Physically able to stand, walk, move, feed, and play for up to eight hours a day on‑court.
- Solid understanding of the rules, shots, tactics, strategies, techniques, and positionings of Pickleball.
- Playing ability of 4.5 USA Pickleball Rating or higher.
- Must complete PPR Level 1 certification once hired within eight months if not already certified. Plus:
Level 2 PPR Certification - Able to project voice and high energy while showcasing a positive and caring personality through every lesson.
- Able to follow, understand, and effectively deliver our world‑class programming and overarching methodology through every class. Be willing and prepared to receive audits and adapt your teaching.
