Ocean Import Specialist - Paid Relocation to Cincinnati, OH

Join us as an Ocean Import Specialist at Total Quality Logistics, where you'll play a key role in expanding our ocean freight forwarding business. This position offers paid relocation to Cincinnati, OH.

Job Overview

As an Ocean Import Specialist for TQL Global, you will coordinate all aspects of ocean import shipments, communicate with stakeholders, maintain records, and ensure high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of ocean import shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and service providers for shipment arrangements and documentation
  • Prepare and review shipping documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor shipment status and communicate updates to clients and stakeholders
  • Work with customs brokers and authorities for smooth clearance, resolving issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate records using appropriate systems
  • Ensure compliance with KPIs and audit standards
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulations to identify process improvements
  • Provide excellent customer service and support
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in ocean import operations within logistics or freight forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight documentation, customs regulations, INCO terms, and trade practices
  • Proficiency in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office;
    Cargo Wise experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to quality service
