The dedicated flex driver salary starts with a practical door-to-door per mile pay and a weekly minimum guarantee. Flex drivers also benefit from other pay opportunities like a quarterly compliance bonus, productivity bonus, unlimited referral bonus, and more. Differentials for a work week that includes nights or one or both weekend days are also available.

Flex drivers at Hoekstra Transportation operate some of the newest and cleanest trucks on the road. Each driver is assigned a late‑model Freightliner or Peterbilt, with the option of automatic or manual transmission. Safety and performance are always prioritized. Every truck is methodically serviced, regularly inspected, and equipped with advanced features including disc brakes on all trucks, anti‑lock braking systems, roll stability control on both tractors and trailers, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and AI‑powered cameras.

For added peace of mind, trucks feature forward‑facing cameras only, with no cameras in the cab. Drivers also benefit from premium comfort with leather air ride driver and passenger seats, making every mile safer, cleaner, and more comfortable.

Flex drivers are expert drivers who use their expertise and knowledge to navigate their routes safely. To qualify as a dedicated flex driver, you must have the following requirements, licenses, and certifications.

To become a dedicated flex truck driver, you must be able to provide your current Class A CDL and an up-to-date DOT physical. You’ll have to be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and road test. Show verifiable two years’ experience, preferably with a 53′ dry van, be at least 23 years old, and have no preventable accidents within the last year.

You must not have any drug or alcohol‑related convictions in the previous ten years. Additionally, it is a requirement to possess a motor vehicle record (MVR) that meets the requirements of our insurance company. We prefer no more than 5 employers and…
