Forklift Operator – Chicago, IL

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a full‑time forklift operator at our Chicago, IL service center. As a forklift operator you will be tasked with moving all different types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long. You will be operating a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.

Starting at $21.05 hourly. Full‑time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday‑Saturday shift starting 4 am (8‑10 hours daily). Off Wednesday and Sunday. Paid sick leave available after 30 calendar days; paid leave after 90 calendar days.

Move freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers, operate forklift in a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock, maintain safety compliance, and support smooth dock operations.

• Ability to read and interact with a computer display
• Forklift experience
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast‑pace environment

• Previous forklift experience in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience with LTL freight
