Overview

Delivery Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts – join to apply for the role.
Compensation range: $16.60 - $22.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses, or premiums in specific circumstances.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected secure at all times.
• Pickup customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special customer needs to store management; report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day; clock in/out according to policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and stocking orders.
• May occasionally assist customers, act as a cashier, or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard in the company’s 14/18-point system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.

• Desired: Familiar with automotive parts; ability to operate other light store equipment; multilingual ability (Spanish highly desired).
