✈️ The Opportunity
Step into the left seat of a well-supported Challenger 350 and lead safe, polished missions in a tightly knit, three-pilot Part 135 team. Based in Chicago, you’ll fly primarily domestic routes serving both an owner and selective charter clients—bringing leadership, professionalism, and precision to every leg.
Flight time and mission profile are provided for planning purposes and may vary based on operational demands and regulatory considerations.
🧭 About the OperationThis Part 135 program blends owner travel with charter missions, emphasizing operational excellence, reliability, and a proactive SMS culture. You’ll collaborate closely with two fellow captains, dispatch, and maintenance to deliver a seamless experience for our clients and a resilient, safety-forward operation for the team.
🧰 What You’ll Do- Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and airmanship on every flight.
- Lead comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, fuel strategy, and risk assessments within an established SMS.
- Apply strong knowledge of FAA regulations and company procedures to drive sound, timely decisions under pressure.
- Coordinate effectively with crew, dispatch, maintenance, and clients to deliver on-time, service-focused operations.
- Leverage flight planning and aviation management software to optimize routes, weather avoidance, and operational efficiency.
- Model exceptional communication and leadership, fostering a just culture and continuous improvement mindset.
- Expert understanding of FAA regulations, flight planning, and safety management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; calm, decisive judgment in dynamic conditions.
- Proficiency with modern flight planning and aviation management software.
- Total Time: 5,000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 2,500 hours
- Multi-Engine: 2,500 hours
- Multi-Engine PIC: 1,500 hours
- Turbine: 2,000 hours
- Instrument: 500 hours
- Type Rating:
Not required (training provided) - License: ATP — FAA
- Medical:
First Class
- Previous experience in Part 135 operations.
