Sherwin-Williams is now hiring a Regional Tanker Driver based out of the Chicago, IL area. You can earn an average of $101,200 - $106,500 annually, depending on miles driven and activities performed.
Job SummaryAs a professional Sherwin‑Williams driver, you are responsible for safe, on‑time pick‑up and deliveries to manufacturing sites and other additional duties required by the business in the Midwest.
Responsibilities- Transport and deliver to destinations in a safe, timely manner
- Comply with all DOT requirements and FMCSA regulations
- Maintain accurate DOT trip logs
- Conduct pre and post‑trip vehicle inspections
- Complete tank wash
- Provide excellent customer service
Minimum Requirements
- Current Sherwin‑Williams employee
- Valid Class‑A Commercial Driver’s License
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC)
- At least five (5) years of Class‑A combination (tractor/trailer) road driving experience within the last ten (10) years OR one (1) year of Sherwin Class‑A combination tractor trailer driving experience
- Hazardous Materials and a Tanker endorsement, or willingness to obtain both upon conditional offer of employment
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment or work visa status now or in the future
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
- Both Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsement
- Tight backing experience (backing a CMV into tight spaces including retail spaces, parking lots, driveways, etc.)
- Freight touch experience (unloading and moving freight prior to and after delivery, retail delivery freight touch)
- Average annual salary range: $101,200 - $106,500 (depending on miles driven and activities performed by the successful candidate)
