Seasonal CDL Driver - Heritage FS - Herscher, IL

Reporting to assigned supervisor. Status:
Non-Exempt.

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Operates semi-tractors, tankers, and dump trailers following scheduled routes between company locations, customer sites, and terminals to support profitable business growth.

• Operate assigned vehicles, including single, tandem, or multi‑axle configurations, forklifts, etc., following safety standards.
• Perform and document daily safety checks and pre‑trip inspections (fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes).
• Adhere to a preventative maintenance program and maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance.
• Comply with all DOT regulations.
• Ensure timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining high customer service standards.
• Complete accurate documentation: bill of lading, delivery slips, invoices, logbooks, and other record‑keeping duties.

• Maintain company equipment according to standards and adhere to the uniform policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating tractor‑trailers, tender trucks, or dump trailers, with knowledge of DOT standards.
• Business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
• Hold a Class A CDL license with Hazardous Materials and tanker endorsements.
• Successfully pass a background check, provide valid medical card, maintain a satisfactory MVR, provide DOT Clearinghouse credentials, and pass a DOT pre‑employment drug test.
• Willingness to undertake other operational jobs during slow periods.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.
• Physically able to climb in/out of semi‑tractors multiple times daily, tender dry and liquid loads, hook hoses, lift 51‑70 lbs, and work in extreme weather or hazardous conditions.
