  • You’ll pack donuts for wholesale deliveries and pick up catering orders from the store for delivery.
  • Drivers are eligible to receive half of any tips received on these catering orders.
  • Drivers receive mileage reimbursement for deliveries from their personal vehicle.

Job Description

Drivers are responsible for packing donuts for wholesale deliveries and delivering and collecting a variety of products and supplies between a variety of locations in a safe, professional, efficient and timely manner.

Essential Functions
  • Accurately pack and drive personal automobile to load, unload, deliver and collect a variety of products and supplies between a variety of locations in a safe, professional, efficient and timely manner.
  • Provide and safely maintain personal automobile (including performing a vehicle inspection before and after each trip) and proof of insurance coverage indicating no less than state‑mandated limits and in employee’s name; insurance coverage must not exclude business purposes.
  • Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations and best practices for safety, both on and off the road.
  • Immediately report any personal or motor vehicle accidents, injuries or parking/moving violations to supervisors.
  • Professionally and courteously interact with customers to confirm delivery details, address complaints and resolve disputes, including obtaining customer signatures as instructed.
  • Analyze delivery address, determine appropriate routes, follow assigned routes and maintain schedule.
  • Maintain accurate mileage and other delivery logs and records.
  • Review and verify invoices, purchase requests and other instructions before and after delivery to ensure accurate deliveries and collections.
  • Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends.
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
  • Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
  • Multi‑task calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment.
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels.
  • Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Sit, stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of company and delivery/collection locations, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests’ needs.
  • Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy.
  • Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Get along well with others and be a team player.
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed.
