The Loading Dock Lead oversees and supports daily loading dock operations across all brands within the facilities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and organized flow of deliveries, shipments, and facility logistics. This role monitors dock usage by employees and vendors, maintains dock safety and security, and supports with incoming and outgoing shipments across all brands and departments. The position reports to the Director of Operations and Facilities and the Facility Coordinator.

Essential Duties | What You’ll Do- Coordinate daily loading dock operations within the facilities.
- Receive, record, and distribute incoming deliveries; assist with outgoing shipments and monitor shipping bin storage and usage.
- Inspect shipment for accuracy and report damages or discrepancies.
- Inform managers of deliveries and coordinate with departments to pick up or deliver their items.
- Assist in shipment of outgoing materials and deliveries, monitor shipping bin storage and usage, consistently ensuring the most efficient method is utilized.
- Monitor employee and vendor dock usage and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain dock areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition according to company standards.
- Monitor security and control building access to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Maintain, clean, charge, and fuel company tools and equipment, including fork and scissor lifts.
- Oversee and maintain inventory of the Supply Cage, tools, materials, and consumables to ensure appropriate usage.
- Collaborate with all brands and departments to support events and facility needs.
- Assist with general housekeeping and operation of the garbage compactor.
- Enforce supply utilization is inline with needs to ensure profitable targets are met.
- Report defective materials, equipment, unsafe conditions, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Comply with all department and company safety guidelines, procedures, and rules.
- Model safe work practices and ensure team compliance.
- Complete all required HR and safety trainings within established timelines.
- Track and enter time, assigning hours and tasks to events and jobs in the time and attendance system.
- May be required to provide direction to any support roles assigned within the department.
- Interact professionally with coworkers, vendors, and visitors in a respectful manner at all times, regardless of situations.
- Assist other departments as needed or directed.
- Perform additional duties as directed and required.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required; further education preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Minimum 2 years forklift experience required.
- 2–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics (supervisory experience a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to read, calculate, and interpret inventory or billing sheets.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain pace required to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, ladders, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Work Environment Requirements
- Stand, bend, reach, and walk up to 75% of the shift.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull 30–40 lbs. regularly, up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Climb ladders and safely operate dock equipment.
- Maintain 20/20 vision (with correction).
- Tolerate varying temperatures, humidity, noise, and airborne particles.
- Work in a dynamic, hands-on environment supporting events and facility operations.
- Hourly wage: $23.00–$25.00 based on experience.
- Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws.
