We are seeking an experienced and dependable individual to oversee daily vehicle readiness, driver coordination, and delivery support for our home-delivered meals operation. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring that drivers are scheduled, vehicles are fully operational, and deliveries run smoothly every day.
Responsibilities Fleet, Drivers, and Daily Readiness- Oversee all delivery drivers and daily driver schedules
- Ensure all vehicles are inspected, fueled, clean, and fully ready for daily routes
- Assign vehicles to drivers and adjust assignments as needed
- Maintain daily communication with drivers to address vehicle or route issues
- Step in to assist with deliveries when needed to ensure service continuity
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles
- Track and document mileage, oil changes, inspections, emissions, registrations, and repairs
- Coordinate repairs and servicing with mechanics, vendors, and repair shops
- Respond to breakdowns, flat tires, battery issues, or mechanical failures
- Troubleshoot recurring vehicle issues and work toward long-term solutions
- Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs and cost records
- Ensure drivers follow basic vehicle inspection and reporting procedures
- Address driver concerns related to vehicle safety or performance
- Support adherence to operational and safety standards
- Maintain clear expectations for vehicle use and care
- Be available on call for urgent fleet or delivery-related issues
- Handle unexpected situations such as call-offs, vehicle failures, or route changes
- Support overall delivery operations to prevent service disruptions
- Assist with equipment oversight related to deliveries or other adhoc tasks
- Experience supervising drivers and managing delivery schedules
- Experience overseeing a delivery vehicle fleet in a logistics, food delivery, catering, or service-based environment
- Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems
- Ability to identify mechanical issues and coordinate repairs effectively
- Experience in maintaining vehicle records, logs, and compliance documentation
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate delivery vehicles
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Flexible and dependable, with the ability to step in wherever needed
