Aircraft Fueler - Midway International Airport

The Aircraft Fueler is responsible for the safe and efficient fueling/defueling and servicing of aircraft at the airport. The role requires performing basic mathematical calculations related to weight, measurement, and volume to interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions. You must maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

• Perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner, drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
• Accurately account for fuel transactions.
• Conduct daily quality control checks on equipment and maintain equipment in a clean, functional condition.
• Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
• Defuel aircraft as directed.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations.
• Experience handling fueling carts and hoses, and ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Availability and flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience preferred, such as possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
