Job Description
Responsible for managing daily transportation operations, developing transportation management tools, and leading initiatives to reduce transportation costs, ensuring execution, cost, and service results across the U.S. and collaborating with warehousing teams.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage transportation operations across the U.S. and work with the warehousing team to understand constraints.
- Interact daily with internal and external carrier partner teams to drive performance improvement.
- Cooperate with transportation tracking vendor to improve carrier compliance and cost.
- Identify and execute strategic projects to optimize warehouse/transportation efficiencies.
- Leverage data and strategic decisions to deliver cost and service targets.
- Support transportation during the annual bid to drive business decisions.
- TMS support and maintenance for the KHC transportation team.
- Develop, analyze, and report Transportation Operations, Cost, and Service KPI’s.
- Utilize financial, logistical, and procurement databases/systems to assist in freight reporting and route analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Measure cost savings performance against targets/benchmarks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in logistics, preferably in transportation with carrier management, procurement, and railroad management.
- Project‑management skills (planning and execution).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with computer software applications, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
- Familiarity with SAP and Oracle OTM is preferred.
Base salary range: $89,800.00 – $. Eligible for performance‑based bonus per plan terms.
