CDL-A Regional Propane Driver – Chicago, IL
NOW HIRING – REGIONAL CDL-A HAZMAT TANKER DRIVERS
Pay & Benefits- Average gross weekly earnings: $1,300–$2,500+
- $0.70–$0.75 CPM, based on experience

Actual earnings vary based on mileage, pumping pay, detention, routes, availability, and seasonal demand.
What You'll Do- Safely transport propane and butane (UN1075)
- Deliver throughout Illinois and surrounding regional service areas
- Load product from terminals including Morris, Lemont, and Channahon, Illinois
- Safely load and unload tanker trailers using pumping equipment
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Complete electronic logs and shipping documentation - Follow DOT, FMCSA, and DHT safety requirements
- Maintain tanker equipment, valves, hoses, placards, and required PPE
- Provide professional customer service
- Regional operation serving the Chicago area and surrounding markets
- Typical schedule:
5 days out / 2 days home - One weekend day availability required
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat (H) endorsement required prior to hire
- Tanker (N) endorsement required prior to hire
- Drivers holding the combined X endorsement are encouraged to apply
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Safe driving record with no recent major safety violations or preventable accidents
- Ability to safely work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to safely handle hoses, pumping equipment, and required PPE
Experience hauling propane, butane, LPG, anhydrous ammonia, refined fuel, or other bulk liquid/gas commodities is strongly preferred but not required.
Drivers with transferable tanker experience are encouraged to apply.
