As a key member of the Regional NAM Supply Chain team, the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating, and monitoring of vital inventory operations such as 3PL warehousing, stock reconciliation, stock takes, cycle counts and supply assistance within the market. The key objective of this role is to coordinate inventory functions within the NAM Markets, ensuring product levels are accurate, and sufficient for demand working directly with the NAM Supply Planner.
This role has a heavy focus on inventory management across the US warehouses, making sure inventory is accurate to deliver on working capital targets & customer service lead times. Along with these deliverables, the function will analyze master data, ensure inventory visibility and measure inventory outcomes to report back inefficiencies in the greater delivery process and identify and provide mitigations and resolutions for any identified issues across the whole supply chain.
- Directly works on the inventory function, partnering with logistics manager to drive operational efficiency and implement initiatives to optimize inventory accuracy & continuously improve processes to prevent variances.
- Provides guidance and assistance to, warehousing, decision making, and inventory functions of the NAM supply chain. Assist management in achieving KPI’s and coordinate with the logistics manager to install our KPI’s in 3PL warehouses.
- Ensures optimization of inventory function, adopting current industry trends & best practices.
- Measures & reports on inventory performance, with a strong focus on systems integration improvements to enable efficiency.
- Provides guidance on streamlining inventory management systems, processes and practices to mitigate risk & ensure internal and external stakeholders are satisfied with plans to reduce stock loss.
- Maintains and monitors key data pertaining to inventory outcomes to inform future decision making for direct and senior management.
- Investigate, identify and implement any opportunities to improve the inventory operation and foster continuous improvement. Support efforts to promote best practice ideas across Coates & 3PLs.
- Responsible for inventory reconciliation, inventory accuracy and inventory projects across the NAM region, working directly with 3PL service providers and internal stakeholders.
