Inventory Control Clerk Ship-Rec Job Chicago area,Illinois USA,Warehouse

Position Description:

Performs duties to maintain an accurate inventory of all production ingredients as well as receiving all inbound shipments for both 3800 and 944; with a Safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a Safety-culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments and compare items to expected receipts
Distributes ingredients on a daily basis
Reconciles all ingredients for both production lines
Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse
Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas
Operate forklifts to move finished product on and off of trailers
Record damaged or defective items and coordinate moves to "hold areas"
Handle returns and exchanges by ensuring that reverse distribution processes are followed properly
Maintain files of shipping and receiving records
Trace missing or lost shipments
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, ERP or CMMS Systems
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed
Valid state driver's license
Communicate fluently in English - verbal and written

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily, over 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to withstand sitting approx 75 - 80% of the time
