Trinity hospital;
Chicago, IL.

- South Side neighborhood

Hours and Shift

Part Time; 0.5 status – working 20 hours a week.

2nd Shift

Hours:

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, 2pm-7pm. One weekend a month; 2 holidays in a year.

Major Responsibilities
  • 2‑Bin Inventory Management
    • Maintain all assigned 2‑Bin inventory locations. Ensure inventory placement, room organization, adherence to the 2‑Bin standard, correct bin placement, and removal of debris.
    • Pick and pull all regularly scheduled inventory to replenish assigned locations at 100% accuracy.
    • Deliver all 2‑Bin replenishment orders to the appropriate location.
    • Restock 2‑Bins with items picked, perform inventory cycle counts and check for expired product.
    • Perform supplement restocks when requested.
    • Pick up all empty bins and product returns, return them to General Stores, and stage the product with appropriate paperwork and signature for credit.
    • Perform a monthly 2‑Bin inventory of designated locations as assigned.
    • Use Demand Track to assess inventory velocity and usage, and recommend PAR adjustments to the Supply Chain leader.
  • Receiving and Delivery Chain of Custody Automation
    • Use the automation for all General Stores cycle counts scheduled by the Supply Chain Leader.
    • Document the chain of custody for all incoming shipments and outgoing General Stores issues using the provided automation.
    • Pick, issue, deliver, credit, and administer General Stores product, including crash carts and inventory carts, using the automation.
  • General Stores Maintenance and Inventory Management
    • Gather and remove product delivery skids and debris within the General Stores.
    • Rotate inventory with a first‑expired, first‑out approach and register expired product per the Non‑Compliant Policy.
    • Manage assigned inventory locations, valuation levels, cycle counts, days‑on‑hand, overstock, and obsolete inventory.
    • Maintain housekeeping in all General Stores areas, removing debris and disposing of outdated items.
    • Perform cycle counts as directed, keeping an error rate of 5% or less, and implement corrective actions.
    • Carry an assigned pager or portable telephone and protect it from loss or damage.
    • Maintain a monthly trend chart of total inventory valuation and support continuous improvement.
  • Receiving
    • Perform receiving functions for all incoming orders.
    • Review orders for accuracy and correlation with POs and ship‑to locations.
    • Identify quality issues and interface with customer service reps.
    • Use scanning technology to process orders.
    • Maintain a clean work environment and use red‑tag tools for visual management.
    • Deliver inbound product, troubleshoot identification issues, and disinfect patient care equipment per Infection Control policies.
    • Execute additional related duties as directed.
  • Distribution
    • Manage inventory and accurate pick processes for requisitioned items, keeping days‑on‑hand ≤5 unless approved.
    • Pick and deliver orders, capturing electronic signatures.
    • Review and move non‑compliant product from green bins to General Stores, entering data into the online database.
    • Return General Stores equipment used for distribution.
    • Coordinate product returns from requisitioning locations.
  • Picking
    • Pick a minimum of 100 lines per hour, maintaining ≥60 lines‑per‑hour during non‑benchmark periods.
    • Ensure pick accuracy and manage cycle‑count error rates, charting trends for improvement.
    • Follow the pick/ replenishment process for 2‑Bin locations, using designated automation and tagging product.
    • Release picked orders using Lawson WH32.2 and sign paperwork.
    • Adhere to velocity picking format to optimize inventory use.
  • Non‑Conforming Policy and Procedure Management
    • Analyze non‑conforming product incident rates, recommend improvements, and maintain green bins and job aids.
    • Rotate stock with a first‑expired, first‑out approach and transport non‑conforming items to General Stores.
    • Record items in the non‑conforming product log and communicate trends to clinical leadership.
Education and Experience Required
  • High School diploma. 12 months experience; stocking experience and/or receiving experience preferred. Experience with mainframe or PC computer systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Good communication and customer‑relation skills.
  • Strong organizational and math skills.
  • Computer literate and able to function as a team member.
  • Prioritization, adaptability, critical thinking.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; use lifting equipment or assistance for greater loads.
  • Unique lifting/movement situations assessed case‑by‑case.
