We have an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Inventory Control Clerk in Chicago, IL. The primary role is to oversee inventory processes and work with Accounting to verify all invoiced items are received.

Essential Functions
  • In addition to performing cycle counts, responsible for completing inventory reports (dated reports, bin analysis, etc.)
  • Verifies returned customer items against invoices/billing; obtains vendor return authorization; checks for outdated/damaged or partial returns; returns items to inventory or vendor as necessary; requests cycle counts as needed.
  • Issues customer credits and applies additional charges such as freight for vendor returns or transfer fees.
  • Pull vendor recall items from inventory and process return of recalled product efficiently.
  • Obtain dead stock and quarterly return authorizations; key returns and notify purchasing department of the return timeline.
  • Research and correct inventory issues and order discrepancies to resolution.
  • Reconciling purchase orders and identifying errors between receivers, packing slips and quantities on hand; physically locates and counts products to compare against paperwork, communicates with vendors to report damages, incorrect shipments and shortages, resolves differences by ensuring correct action is recorded in the system.
  • Works proactively to foster a positive team-oriented atmosphere at all times; works with associates to promote company goals.
  • Develop relationships and communication with key internal and external members; understand company needs and expectations.
  • Responsible for understanding Concordance's internal processes and products; infuses Concordance culture into interactions and transactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous warehouse, inventory or distribution experience.
  • Ability to perform physical motions typical of inventory control: bending, reaching, climbing, standing or walking for long periods, lifting / carrying / pushing / moving up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Accurate with strong attention to detail.
  • Work in a safe, efficient, respectful manner with other personnel.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and time management skills.
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills required; VAI or similar warehouse management or operating systems a plus.
  • Dependable and able to work with little supervision.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Self-starter who can work with little supervision; flexible and able to multitask.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Compensation

$18.00 - $19.00 hourly.
