Warehouse Supervisor

Supervisor, Warehouse – Chicago, IL

Oversee daily warehouse and shipping operations to ensure efficient material handling, accurate inventory control, and on‑time order fulfillment. This on‑site role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills and supports operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and plant performance.

Shift: Monday‑Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

• Supervise, train, and coach warehouse and shipping personnel to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, and dispatch of shipments for accurate and timely customer deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
• Oversee proper storage, staging, and movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and control costs.
• Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and warehouse records using ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to support smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the safe operation and routine maintenance of forklifts, cranes, and material‑handling equipment.
• Promote healthy and safe work practices in accordance with regulatory agencies and company policy.

• 3 + years of warehouse and shipping experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment; steel or pipe/tube experience preferred.
• 2 + years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping logistics; ERP or WMS experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate material‑handling equipment, and work in an industrial setting.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Base Salary Range: $71,000 – $98,000 USD.

Additional compensation may include yearly merit increase and profit‑sharing bonus opportunities.
