Order Selector, Distribution Center

Whole Foods Market is seeking Full‑Time Order Selectors for our Distribution Center in Chicago, IL (Pullman District). This perishable distribution center handles floral, meat, and produce products. Temps range from –10 °F (freezer) to 46 °F including a banana and avocado ripening room.

Base pay is $18.00–$33.66 hourly, commensurate with experience. Incentives include a $200 bonus for 8‑week training completion, $1,000 milestone bonus, and $500 at 6 and 12 months, with a potential $840/month based on productivity and accuracy. Shift starts at 11:00 AM, with rotating 4‑day / 10‑hour workweeks that include weekends and holidays. Schedules are subject to change with at least 3 weeks advance notice.

• Use voice‑based order system to select and palletize store orders.
• Manually stack product onto pallets, wrap, and prepare product for shipment.
• Respect all Good Organics compliances when stacking product.
• Operate an electric/motorized ride‑on standing pallet jack (single or double).
• Assist in cleaning the warehouse, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Comply with all applicable health and safety codes.
• Communicate and maintain employee safety and security standards.
• Arrive to work on time, wear appropriate PPE, work all scheduled shifts, complete required trainings and attend required meetings.
• Ability to read and speak basic English.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, Facility Leadership.

• Experience working with an electric/motorized ride‑on standing pallet jack (single or double).
• Experience with voice systems a plus.
• Team‑player with positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Able to work well with others, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision.

• Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 70 lbs (team lift suggested for weights > 70 lbs).
• Work in a cold/wet storage facility environment ranging from –10 °F (freezer) to 55 °F; general warehouse temps 34–46 °F.
• Regularly get on and off powered equipment, stepping on and off throughout shift.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including safety box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and voice equipment.
• Must adhere to company dress code and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Average shifts are 8–10 hours long.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• May require the use of ladders.

The wage range for this position is $18.00–$33.66 hourly, commensurate with experience.
