Our client, a growing industrial distribution company, is seeking a hands‑on Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations while leading by example in a fast‑paced environment. This position is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, coordinating receiving and shipping activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, promoting workplace safety, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and support warehouse associates while fostering a positive, accountable work environment.
- Assign daily work priorities and monitor productivity to ensure operational goals are achieved.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, safety practices, and company expectations.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Promote teamwork while assisting in resolving operational challenges.
- Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Oversee receiving, stocking, picking, staging, loading, and shipping activities.
- Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, verified, and prepared for pickup or delivery.
- Coordinate workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and warehouse organization.
- Assist with loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Support customers by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Resolve shipping or order discrepancies in a professional manner.
- Maintain organized storage areas and clean work spaces to promote safety and efficiency.
- Promote and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct routine warehouse safety inspections.
- Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report workplace hazards, equipment issues, and incidents promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Minimum of two years of warehouse experience within manufacturing, industrial distribution, metals, construction materials, or related industries.
- Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Experience maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
