A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager to lead warehouse, inventory, material flow, and distribution operations at a high-volume facility. This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence across receiving, repack, storage, replenishment, and shipping activities while ensuring safety, inventory accuracy, and service performance.

This position will initially focus on warehouse operations, production replenishment, and management of third-party logistics providers, with expanded responsibility for shipping and receiving operations as the organization continues to optimize its distribution network. The role will also play a key part in a future warehouse management system (WMS) implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily warehouse and material flow operations, including receiving, repack, putaway, replenishment, and shipping.
  • Manage warehouse KPIs related to safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and on-time delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, labor utilization, and material availability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, supply chain, and logistics teams to improve overall operational performance.
  • Develop and mentor supervisors and frontline personnel while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Manage labor planning, operating budgets, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and inventory control standards.
  • Support technology enhancements, data visibility initiatives, and WMS-related projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Experience with in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting production replenishment and material flow to manufacturing operations is required.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, inventory control, and warehouse optimization methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and people leadership skills.
  • Oracle WMS experience is a plus.
  • CLTD certification is preferred but not required.
Ideal Background

This opportunity is best suited for a warehouse or logistics leader who has supported manufacturing operations and understands the importance of production replenishment, inventory accuracy, and material flow. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to traditional distribution center operations without manufacturing replenishment exposure may not be a fit.
