The Associated Students of CSU, Chico is recruiting for Custodian in Residential Dining. This is a full-time, full-year (2080 hours), non-exempt position. The starting pay for new hires is $21.23/hr - $21.48/hr ; placement in range is dependent upon experience with new hires typically starting at the base of the range. The anticipated schedule is 9:00pm to 5:30am (overnight) Saturday through Wednesday.
When a shift qualifies for a shift differential rate of pay (working at least 4 hours between 12:00am and 6:00am), an additional $2.30/hr will be added to the pay rate for all hours worked in the shift. The schedule is subject to change based on operational needs and may no longer qualify for shift differential pay.

The Associated Students (AS) is a comprehensive campus auxiliary corporation of CSU,Chico serving thousands of students, faculty, staff and community members through myriad student programs, services and business enterprises. With an annual budget of more than $21M, the AS operates residential and retail dining services, the Bell Memorial Union, the Wildcat Recreation Center (WREC), and administers the contract for the Wildcat Store (bookstore).

SUMMARYThis position is a working level position which has responsibility for performing general custodial, housekeeping, and other related projects or duties under general supervision in assigned areas of Associated Students buildings and facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Keeps assigned areas and buildings and facilities in a clean and orderly condition.
- Train, oversee and direct the work of student employees as required.
- Sweeps and mops floors.
- Cleans and vacuums rugs and carpets.
- Empties and cleans waste receptacles.
- Removes recycling materials from bins as needed.
- Cleans hallways, restrooms, offices/rooms, lobbies and food service areas.
- Operates cleaning equipment and machinery as needed.
- Maintains proper work safety standards.
- Enforces building security procedures.
- Observes and reports needed repairs to buildings and equipment.
- Reports inventory shortages to supervisor.
- Other duties may be assigned.
