Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician at one of Oxford's boutique-style or luxury hotels is responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities, guest rooms, and public areas remain in top operational condition through routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive care of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role supports the overall guest experience by ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment across the property. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of resolving maintenance issues efficiently while upholding Oxford Collection's service and quality standards.
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in striving to meet and exceed Four-Star service standards, delivering high-quality service and amenities with strong attention to detail, ensuring excellence in every guest interaction, and consistently exceeding expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safety & Preventative Maintenance (50%):
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, hotel equipment, and carpet care as scheduled under the direction of the Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
- Flip mattresses and repair and move furniture as assigned by the supervisor, make suggestions for removal or replacement to ensure only quality items are presented to the guest.
- Maintain a Four-Diamond experience by conducting regular preventative maintenance and efficiently completing repairs
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, and other basic repairs to maintain the hotel and keep the product quality standard
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures as needed, making suggestions for replacement or repair of items to ensure Luxury standards are maintained
- Provide general grounds keeping services such as trash removal, pool and spa maintenance, grounds upkeep, kitchen Equipment cleaning and service, and security rounds
- Maintain organized work areas and equipment in alignment with sanitation and cleanliness standards while ensuring equipment operating logs are up to date
- Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations
