Lead Field Engineer – Carrier Global Corporation
Carrier Global Corporation, a leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, seeks an experienced Lead Field Engineer to lead the commissioning of building automation systems. The candidate will manage complex projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure that systems operate reliably for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer building automation systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
- Mentor and develop less experienced field engineers on all field tools and technology.
- Serve as the local contact for technical issues, providing effective solutions for complex system problems.
- Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects, ensuring systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
- Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and maintain system documentation.
- Implement time‑management strategies to meet customer satisfaction targets.
- Communicate project status and details clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide site‑specific training to owners/operators on complete system operation.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience in building automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- Physical ability to climb ladders or use other lift equipment over 8 feet and lift up to 50lbs.
- Valid and current driver’s license; insurable under the company’s insurance program.
- Associate, bachelor’s degree, technical or business certificate/diploma in HVAC, controls, or a related field.
- Proficiency with advanced building‑automation software, such as WebCTRL.
- Experience installing building automation controls and integrating multiple system platforms.
- Proficiency with TCP/IP networking, including wireless technology.
- Ability to handle simultaneous challenges involving multiple disciplines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer‑service communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft
365 applications.

The annual salary range for this position is $64,500.00–$, depending on experience, education, and skills. Short‑term cash incentives may be included per plan requirements.
