This position involves the performance of manual labor, primarily in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Cleans district offices, classrooms, sidewalks and other areas; sweeps, dusts, mops, vacuums, waxes and polishes floors.
- Reports safety hazards and need for repairs.
- Performs ground duties such as mowing, trimming, planting and watering.
- Ability to perform considerable physical activities in varied areas.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to climb and work at ladder heights not greater than 30 feet.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (required).
- One year experience in custodial settings preferred.
- No physical risks or hazardous conditions.
- Slight physical risks requiring basic safety precautions (safety glasses, lab coats, rubber gloves, etc.).
- Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations requiring detailed safety precautions (e.g., wearing respirators, handling hazardous materials, working with industrial machinery).
