Project Scheduler

A leading international construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join a growing team delivering large-scale Data Centre developments. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, multi-million-dollar projects from early planning through construction, commissioning, and project closeout.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project programmes are effectively developed, monitored, and reported, while supporting project teams in achieving critical milestones and successful project outcomes.

• Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate planning activities across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Establish project baselines and monitor performance against key milestones.
• Perform schedule analysis, critical path reviews, and risk assessments to identify potential project impacts.
• Evaluate programme changes and provide recommendations to minimise delays and improve project delivery.
• Prepare and present schedule updates, progress reports, and key performance metrics to project stakeholders.
• Support short-term and long-term planning initiatives, including look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.
• Collaborate with project management, construction, commercial, and project controls teams to ensure alignment of programme objectives.
• Assist with forecasting activities related to labour, productivity, and project performance.
• Analyse delays and disruptions, providing schedule impact assessments where required.
• Support the development of mitigation strategies and alternative sequencing plans to maintain project objectives.
• Participate in project review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the planning function.

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Planning or Scheduling role within the construction industry.
• Previous experience on Data Centre, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, or other complex construction projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
• Strong understanding of:
• Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
• Baseline and progress scheduling
• Schedule recovery planning
• Float analysis and forecasting
• Resource and cost-loaded schedules
• Delay analysis and schedule reporting
• Experience conducting schedule risk assessments and programme impact evaluations.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
