Position OverviewAs Head Start Director, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the agency’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs. You will lead a diverse team of educators, family service workers, and administrators to ensure program excellence, compliance with federal/state/local standards, and positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Oversight of Head Start and Early Head Start program operations.
- Ensuring compliance with Federal Head Start Program Performance Standards & Local licensing standards.
- Supporting and supervising management and program staff.
- Leading program planning, monitoring, self‑assessment, and continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborating on budgets, grants, and reporting.
- Strengthening family engagement and community partnerships.
- Serving as the primary liaison between CCCB and the Head Start Grantee to ensure high‑quality program delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Significant experience in Head Start, Early Head Start, or other early childhood programming, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Head Start standards, systems, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Children’s Center of Cicero Berwyn’s mission and the communities we serve.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $58,000 - $62,000
, commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
