School Psychologist - Cicero, IL

Step into an engaging and rewarding opportunity as a school psychologist supporting students from early childhood through 5th grade in a vibrant community in the greater Cicero, IL and Oak Lawn, IL area. This full-time, building-based contract role spans the length of the school year, from August 17 to June 5, with regular hours of 6.5 hours per day, five days a week, totaling 32.5 hours weekly.

You'll have the opportunity to work across three school buildings, enriching your experience and impact.

Key

Qualifications:

• Valid school psychologist credential/license appropriate for Illinois schools
• Experience working with students at the early childhood and elementary levels
• Comfortable working with a broad range of disabilities and student needs
• Strong assessment, evaluation, and report writing skills
• Ability to effectively schedule and facilitate meetings
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
• Multilingual skills in Spanish, Polish, or Arabic are highly preferred and valued

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret student assessments, following all best practices and guidelines
• Schedule and facilitate team meetings to review student progress, eligibility, and needs
• Provide individual and group counseling support for a diverse student population
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and monitor effective interventions
• Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring their unique needs are understood and met
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state mandates
