Special Education Teacher | Cicero, Illinois

Both roles primarily involve instructional classes designed to support students' growth throughout the  school year.

Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, ideally in a school setting
• Strong understanding of IEPs and ability to implement individualized goals
• Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students in special education programs
• Create and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary
• Maintain detailed documentation and data tracking in alignment with school requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
