Step into an impactful role supporting elementary and PreK-8th grade students as a School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year in the vibrant communities surrounding Cicero, IL. This is a contract opportunity, spanning from August 18th through May 28th, with possible extension due to emergency days.
In this position, you’ll partner with a team of dedicated psychologists to manage a shared caseload, working closely with students who present a diverse range of needs, including those with low to severe disabilities. Your schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm, totaling 37-40 hours per week.
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- Current credentials meeting Illinois state requirements and a valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience in school settings supporting students with a variety of disabilities; candidates with background in more significant or complex needs will be prioritized, though new graduates ready to contribute are also encouraged to apply
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills to partner effectively within the school team
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments, interpreting results, and providing actionable recommendations to staff and families
- Supporting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
- Consulting with educators, parents, and support staff to foster student growth and mental wellness
This position offers pay rates based on experience from $48-$55 per hour, along with weekly pay and a full benefits package. Contract staff are valued here and enjoy support throughout their assignment.
