Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with a school in Illinois to find a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time self-contained classroom. This opportunity offers a consistent school-day schedule and the chance to provide individualized support to students with a variety of learning and developmental needs.

The teacher will work with approximately 10 students, with the majority of the classroom population being students with autism. Some students have more significant support needs, making patience, flexibility, and a structured approach essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs while adapting lessons, activities, and classroom routines to meet diverse needs. Support academic, behavioral, communication, and functional development while maintaining a safe and structured classroom environment. Monitor student progress, implement positive behavior strategies, maintain required documentation, and collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and related-service providers. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals and ongoing educational planning.

Requirements

Candidates should hold an active Illinois PEL with the appropriate Special Education endorsement and a bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field. Experience working with students with autism, significant support needs, or in a self-contained setting is preferred. Strong communication, organization, classroom management, and collaboration skills are important for this position.
