Job Title:
Process Engineer (Fill Finish Design) Initial 12-Month Contract Fully Onsite – Illinois Competitive Hourly Rate (W2) + Expenses
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support the design and delivery of aseptic Fill Finish manufacturing systems for a major pharmaceutical project in Kankakee, IL.
Working closely with Engineering, Automation, CQV, Validation, Manufacturing, and Vendors, you will support process design activities from concept and detailed design through commissioning and startup.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead process design activities for Fill Finish manufacturing systems.
- Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, URS, and design documentation.
- Support equipment selection, vendor engagement, and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and Annex 1 requirements.
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver process solutions and drive project execution.
- Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in Fill Finish process design within pharmaceutical or biotech environments.
- Strong understanding of aseptic manufacturing, filling lines, isolators, and associated process systems.
- Experience working in GMP-regulated capital project environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
