Electrical Engineer 3 - Mixed Signal & PCB

About the Role

We're partnering with a leading engineering, manufacturing, and technology company looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer III. In this role, you'll design and develop high-reliability mixed-signal electronic hardware for advanced electromechanical actuation systems, working across schematic design, PCB development, hardware verification, and product validation in a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits and multilayer PCBs.
  • Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation.
  • Perform signal integrity, EMC, thermal, and reliability analysis.
  • Support hardware verification, validation, HIL testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software engineering teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and support compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in electrical design for aerospace, defence, or other high-reliability electromechanical systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software.
  • Experience designing complex multilayer mixed-signal PCBs.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, FPGAs, ADC/DAC interfaces, and communication protocols (CAN, RS-485, ARINC-429).
  • Understanding of EMC mitigation techniques and aerospace hardware development standards (DO-160, DO-254).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills using laboratory test equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with safety-critical actuation systems or flight-control hardware.
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering, embedded firmware, or FPGA development.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, NI LabVIEW, or electronic simulation tools.
