The Contract and Procurement Technician (Executive I) supports the Illinois Department on Aging's contracting, granting, and procurement efforts in Springfield. The role involves evaluating AWAQ applications, reviewing grant proposals, monitoring provider registrations in GATA, and assisting with Bid Buy tasks under the Agency Procurement Officer's guidance. You'll also prepare correspondence and implement policies for fee-for-service and grant programs.
Key qualifications- Four years of college coursework preferably in business or public administration
- One year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization
- Two years of experience with Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA)
- Two years of experience with governmental procurement principles
- Two years of experience with grant agreement development
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
