Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for patients within the scope of training and approved agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction. This position works directly with a franchised business location. Specific duties and benefits may vary between franchises.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed health histories, review patient records, develop medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies appropriate for the patient's condition.
  • Formulate diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities or providers.
  • Provide emergency measures and stabilization in cases such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
  • Interpret patient data to determine patient status and management.
  • Provide health care guidance and promotion to patients and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certification (ER/UC experience preferred).
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Urgent care or ER experience preferred but not required.
  • English and Spanish speaking skills preferred but not required.
