Overview
Directs the workforce to load cases of wine and spirits onto the company’s delivery trucks, maintains inventory and supplies, and supervises activities of workers verifying records on incoming and outgoing shipments. The role manages truck loading and unloading operations, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and oversees associate performance.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure efficient truck loading (picking orders and loading) while minimizing breakage.
- Handle picking from full case pick lines, bottle room, and replenish both full and split case complexes.
- Report damage to equipment, product, and facilities.
- Maintain equipment operation by enforcing instructions, troubleshooting, and arranging preventive maintenance.
- Report product shortages or location problems.
- Organize storage area and recommend improvements based on storage design principles.
- Ensure efficient unloading of trucks and receiving of product.
- Enforce OSHA requirements and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing laws.
- Handle work‑related injuries and comply with OSHA injury reporting.
- Maintain security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations.
- Directly supervise associates, perform hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions in accordance with policies.
- Handle beverage alcohol product responsibly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related business area.
- Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs, including presentation software.
- Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication, diplomacy, discretion, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and reporting skills, sound judgment, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high‑volume team environment.
- People management experience.
- Knowledge of systems used in logistics.
- Remain in a stationary position at times, communicate, and operate a computer and telephone.
- Occasionally carry and lift up to 65 pounds, reach overhead, squat, bend, and frequently walk and stand for extended periods.
- Coordinate work of junior team members.
- Resolve varied and non‑routine issues.
- Conduct analysis and investigation to solve problems.
Salary Range: $54,600 - $74,025 per year. Eligible for a bonus program, health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits, and participation in the company’s 401(k) plan.
