The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Global Supply Chain organization is seeking a knowledgeable Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our SC Planning team. This position is located in Rolling Meadows, IL.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Manage on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
• Manage material budget for contract requirements. Supporting baselining/EVMS requirements.
• Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s) (Cognos, CMEs, IPRS)
• Identify and manage program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements.
• Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
• Monitor and address supplier capacity and/or production issues.
• Maintain strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers.
• Travel up to 10% of the time as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Master's degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field. We will also consider a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• SAP experience or other ERP experience
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

• Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning.
• Experience using Excel Spreadsheets
• Experience in Earned Value Management Systems
• Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
• Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
