- Validate system-generated fabrication drawings, work instructions, or cutsheets to ensure they accurately reflect how products should be manufactured.
- Review engineering calculations and system outputs to confirm they align with production requirements before implementation.
- Investigate discrepancies between engineering documentation and shop floor builds, identifying whether issues stem from calculations, inputs, or manufacturing processes.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to improve calculation logic, product configurations, and manufacturing processes.
- Document manufacturing rules, engineering standards, and validation procedures to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in testing and validation of new products, engineering changes, and manufacturing scenarios before release to production.
- Support production teams by providing guidance on interpreting fabrication documentation and resolving technical issues.
- Serve as the engineering liaison between manufacturing operations and technical teams to ensure accurate, production-ready outputs.
Required
- Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial)
- Experience reading, interpreting, and validating fabrication drawings, manufacturing drawings, shop drawings, cutsheets, or other production documentation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how engineering documentation translates to the production floor.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or engineering issues and identifying root causes.
- Comfortable reviewing engineering data in spreadsheets, databases, or similar systems to verify accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Preferred
- Exposure to sheet metal fabrication, custom manufacturing, HVAC products, or similar engineered products.
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Basic SQL or database literacy (ability to review queries or trace calculated values; no programming required).
- Experience partnering with software, ERP, MES, or manufacturing systems teams.
- Familiarity with quality, safety, or industry compliance standards.
- Experience supporting engineering change processes, product configuration, or manufacturing system improvements.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Ambitious, curious, and eager to build a career in manufacturing engineering.
- Strong willingness to learn with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to take initiative and thrive with increasing responsibility.
- Comfortable collaborating with production teams and learning directly from experienced engineers and technicians.
- Strong attention to detail with an interest in how products are designed, built, and improved.
- Internship, co-op, or manufacturing experience is a plus, but recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
