Director, Search and Visibility

• Set JLL's SEO, GEO and AEO vision and multi-year roadmap across business lines and priority markets
• Align search strategy with business objectives and measurable KPIs across traditional and AI-driven search environments
• Establish a single enterprise strategy and framework and partner with local and regional teams on implementation
• Develop integrated plans connecting owned and earned content, technical infrastructure and external authority signals
• Drive scalable frameworks and capabilities for visibility across AI-driven and answer-based search experiences
• Operate effectively within a highly matrixed organization and align stakeholders across business lines and functions
• Establish and operate an enterprise Center of Excellence with governance, standards, processes, templates, measurement frameworks and operating practices
• Coordinate initiatives across teams to prevent fragmentation and duplication
• Own a consistent measurement framework and executive-ready success reporting
• Selectively apply AI-assisted capabilities while maintaining human judgment and quality control
• Serve as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
• Present results directly to senior executives and translate technical concepts into business narratives
• Lead and develop team members and agency resources through coaching and succession planning
• Personally review topic opportunities and troubleshoot technical issues as a player-coach
• Embed SEO into holistic marketing and cross-functional plans
• Influence outcomes with and without formal authority and build consensus across teams
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial, subject matter experts, business lines, field, social, communications and brand teams
• Guide structured, authoritative content optimized for traditional search and AI-generated answers
• Advise on content creation, updates, distribution and reformatting needs
• Account for video, social, review platforms and earned media in AI-generated results
• Own the evolution of the SEO and GEO toolset and technology stack
• Guide technical foundations including structured data, schema and crawlability

• 12+ years of SEO experience across technical SEO, content strategy, performance measurement and enterprise execution
• 3+ years leading teams, with ability to scale across multiple business lines and/or markets
• Strong knowledge of generative engine optimization (GEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO)
• Strong proficiency with web analytics and measurement tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics and enterprise SEO platforms
• Ability to translate complex findings into clear, executive-ready narratives, recommendations and decision frameworks
• Executive presence and polished presentation skills, including presenting directly to senior executives and defending recommendations
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to influence outcomes with and without direct authority
• Experience operating effectively in a large, matrixed organization
• Proven accountability for performance
• Experience leading enterprise-scale initiatives across a large, global organization spanning multiple business lines
• Experience creating governance models, standards and scalable operating practices, such as a center of excellence
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Agency or professional services background strongly preferred; commercial real estate experience is a plus but not required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
