Packaging Operator Position, Start immediately,
weekly pay
- Inspect, label, and package raw and finished products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and established procedures.
- Effectively operate assigned production lines, ensuring consistent output and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Support and assist in the setup of automated equipment in primary and secondary packaging areas, including change parts and tooling.
- Maintain change parts and tooling in base condition and ensure they are properly organized and available for use.
- Monitor production lines for performance, identify issues affecting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and take action to resolve performance-related problems.
- Perform housekeeping and line clearance activities on finishing lines to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Carry out quality-related tasks throughout production runs, including performing challenges, setting and monitoring parameters, pulling samples, conducting in-process checks, and maintaining bulk and commodity accountability.
- Identify and report product defects, ensuring that non-conforming product is properly handled according to procedures.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment-related issues and perform minor adjustments to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Use basic knowledge of vision systems to support equipment operation and product inspection processes.
- Sustain 5S practices for parts, tooling, and work areas across the production floor.
- Follow documented procedures, work instructions, and high-regulation guidelines similar to recipes, blueprints, or regulated processes.
- Accurately document production activities and maintain records in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Operate within a fast-paced, clean-room warehouse environment, including loading, unloading, and handling materials as needed.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTH CHICAGO, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.53 - $21.48/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
