Description

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze raw materials to assure they meet customer specs for required levels of quality.
  • Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Perform quality audits of manufactured and purchased parts/products, including inspection of parts against supplied engineering prints, visual inspection, and hardness testing and understanding dimensional theories.
  • May set up for destructive and non-destructive tests on materials or parts to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
  • May prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.
  • May specialize in particular area of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, research and development, and administrative application.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Based Programs.
  • Minimum two-year degree or at least two-years of Quality Control Technician experience or related job experience.
