Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary The Retail Store Associate is the face of O’Reilly’s Boutique, responsible for delivering an exceptional shopping experience to every customer. This role supports sales, merchandising, and customer service both in-store and online. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic about fashion and boutique retail.

• Greet and engage customers, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
• Assist customers with product selection, styling, and answering questions.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Restock merchandise and support inventory counts as needed.
• Uphold store policies, including return and exchange procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Contribute to team sales goals and overall store success.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer literacy; ability to learn POS and sales platforms.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry merchandise or packages up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Comfortable climbing step stools or ladders for merchandising.
• Retail environment with exposure to occasional loud noise, music, or varying temperatures.

• Hourly rate commensurate with experience, $16.5 - $17 per hour.
• Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with New York State and federal labor laws.
