Job DescriptionThe Rental Sales Representative is responsible for acting as the front-line sales agent for the rental of vehicles to the Company's current lease and commercial rental accounts, as well as potential commercial rental customers and consumer household needs. The role requires cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management while utilizing excellent customer communication skills. The program is fast-paced and touches every aspect of the business unit.
In this role, you will acquire industry knowledge, develop relationship-building skills, and progress within the organization based on performance.
- Sales & Marketing:
Handle sales and sales process for inbound calls and outbound solicitation, execute the business unit's marketing plan, maintain accurate data in the marketing database, maximize rate opportunities, generate rental, lease and used vehicle sales leads, maintain and expand relationships with existing customers, coordinate inventory levels, and achieve overall marketplace share. - Operations & Asset Management:
Responsible for the overall profitability, operations and asset management of a rental location, coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing, maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies, and maximize utilization of the rental fleet. - Customer:
Drive profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships, ensuring overall satisfaction for all internal and external customers, and reconciling all customer concerns, issues, and disputes. - Communication:
Build constructive relationships internally and externally, maintain composure in stressful situations, and articulate Ryder's products and services.
- On a voluntary basis and by scheduling, the Rental Sales Representative may be required to perform the role of On-Call Representative.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year or more sales experience required.
- Pay Type:
Hourly. - Minimum Pay Range: $21.00 per hour.
- Maximum Pay Range: $22.00 per hour.
