Field Service Engineer (FSE)

Haemonetics is looking for a Field Service Engineer to support Blood Management Centers and hospitals onsite, providing device installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and basic installation base management in a local territory. Residency in or near Chicago, IL or Minneapolis, MN (within commuting distance to the airport) is required. This is a field support role with flexibility to travel as needed.

• Respond to service requests and ensure customer satisfaction by installing, upgrading, repairing, and maintaining instrument systems in a defined territory.
• Understand the process of operation, including installation, spare parts management, issues resolution, and service operation measurement.
• Provide customer follow‑up and ownership of all product and service related issues, acting as a focal point for troubleshooting.
• Serve as a continuous customer interface to drive customer satisfaction.
• Interface between the field organization and the internal support structure by providing timely onsite technical assistance, coordinating new system placements, developing leads, promoting upgrades and contract renewals.
• Provide general technical direction and assistance in operation, maintenance, repair, logistics support, and field modification, installation, and equipment implementation.
• Provide technical assistance through on‑site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of program and ground support equipment.
• Assist the quality team with data collection and timely reporting to facilitate performance analysis.
• Manage service parts inventory levels.
• Complete required documentation in the service tool (SFDC) on the same day as service.
• Write and modify service and training manuals and SOPs.

• BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree with knowledge in the biotechnology/biomedical industry, or applicable military experience.
• 2-5 years of relevant technical field service experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Highly motivated with strong problem‑solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good technical writing abilities.

Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time, with flexibility to visit locations within the assigned territory.

Pay range: $37.35–$63.45 annual. Base pay will be determined by location, education, job knowledge, skills, and experience. Incentives, discretionary annual bonus, and long‑term incentive plan may be applicable.
