What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a professional and experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to support our Cincinnati facility. This position is responsible for the supervision and execution of all maintenance-related activities for the site, including equipment, building and utility maintenance, pest control, landscaping and custodial services, and the coordination and implementation of maintenance projects.

Your Role
  • Maintain the facility and grounds to a level acceptable for a medical device site.
  • Schedule, plan and execute maintenance operations, both preventative and corrective.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage outside services relating to facility and production maintenance.
  • Maintain the Work Order and Preventive Maintenance Programs.
  • Supervise Maintenance Technicians.
  • Ensure that preventive and corrective maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that records of maintenance activities are properly documented and maintained.
  • Ensure sufficient availability of spare parts necessary for the immediate repair of critical equipment.
  • Provide financial due diligence on external expenditures and maintain expenses within budget.
  • Report on the performance of the maintenance department activities.
  • Maintain the department's Visual Management Board(s).
  • Participate in workplace continuous improvement projects.
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment.
  • Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk.
  • Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
  • Perform supervisory tasks as required.
  • Require successful completion of assigned training.
  • Perform other duties that might be required as directed by management.
Your Background
  • Associate degree related to Maintenance/the skilled trades plus 3+ years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (required).
  • Direct experience in the electrical, plumbing, and/or carpentry trades (required).
  • Building maintenance and/or industrial experience in a regulated environment (food, beverage, cosmetics, medical device, or pharmaceutical) is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervision experience (required).
  • Working knowledge of the skilled trades (required). This position also requires successful completion of training/certification program(s), as assigned.
  • Able to read and comprehend blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications (required).
  • Ability to create and learn how to edit actual or equivalent AutoCAD drawings.
  • Understanding of industrial-level electrical principles and applications; must be familiar with the National Electrical Code.
  • Must be familiar with the National Fire Protection Code (NFPA).
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Exhibits good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
  • Maintains confidentiality, remains open to other ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.
  • Able to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.
  • Adaptable to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Dependable and a team player - consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor always, and particularly when under pressure.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires sitting for roughly 1-2 hours per day with breaks.
  • Requires occasional keyboard use.
  • Requires standing/walking for up to 7 or more hours per day.
  • Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • Require high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, crawl, kneel.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and steps.
