Job Description

Responsible for the overall upkeep of the apartment community general grounds and landscape and the exterior image in accordance with the policies and procedures. Works as a team participant along with other maintenance staff to ensure the community meets the quality maintenance standards set by the Company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains the apartment community’s overall exterior appearance by removing litter and debris, maintaining landscape, and sweeping and shoveling public areas such as driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, curbs, and dumpster areas.
  • Pressure wash areas when needed.
  • Clean out trash rooms and deodorize compactors/dumpsters as needed.
  • Walk and sweep exit stairwells to ensure they are free of debris.
  • Assis maintenance technicians in removing trash from vacant units.
  • Assist in maintaining exterior amenities such as pool decks, outdoor kitchens, dog parks and any other exterior amenity within the community.
  • Maintain awareness of stock and communicate needs to supervisor.
  • Adhere to rules regarding health and safety following all company requirements set forth in the CIG policy manual.
  • Performs basic maintenance activities within units or around the community.
  • Reports broken windows or other items in need of repair inside or outside of the property.
  • Maintains the ground equipment by completing minor repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Consistently maintains a professional courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the general public.
  • Performs other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, delivering communication to residents, attending and participating training seminars.
Qualifications

Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or three to four months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
