2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (2PM-10:30PM)

This position ensures that the facilities and equipment are in working order. Performs routine maintenance, repairs, and builds new equipment as needed. Works with outside vendors to ensure that facility and maintenance projects are completed to specification.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all facility equipment according to maintenance schedule.
• Fix facility and equipment problems as they arise.
• Work directly with maintenance vendors as needed, contacting and scheduling vendors, requesting purchase orders, and ordering parts. Answer vendor questions and ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Perform routine inspections of forklifts.
• Weld and fabricate equipment as needed.
• Demonstrate basic PLC logic capabilities.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma and five years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience using hand tools, forklift, welding, and grinding.
• Welding certification and Equipment Operations License preferred, but not required.
• Basic electrical skills.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and horizontally push up to 125 pounds.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions (written and verbal).
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in all units of measure.
