Housekeeping

Responsibilities

• 1. Ensure all assigned areas of facilities are cleaned and maintained as a sanitary environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• 2. Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• 3. Assist in proper care of housekeeping equipment.
• 4. Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor.
• 5. Operate housekeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
• 6. Follow and comply with the expectations of material safety data sheets (MSDS) and handle/work with all chemicals in a safe and efficient manner.
• 7. Follow oral and written instructions.
• 8. Work cooperatively with all departments and co-workers within the facility to promote a positive living environment for all residents and family members.
• 9. Attend in‑service training programs for housekeeping employees.
• 10. Observe infection control procedures.
• 11. Ensure the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process is followed in accordance with State & Federal Guidelines.
• 12. Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times.
• 13. Adhere to all facility policies & procedures and ensure they are adhered to by all responsible parties and carry out disciplinary action for non‑compliance as appropriate.
• 14. Ensure adherence to the Corporate Integrity Program and the Performance Expectations at all times.
• 15. Perform other related duties as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or person of authority.
