Join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio as a part-time Housekeeping Supervisor
, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this hands‑on role, you’ll oversee daily cleaning operations, support and train staff, and ensure high standards are consistently met across the facility.
Schedule:
20 hours per week, Sunday–Wednesday 3–8pm or 4–9pm, Friday or Saturday as needed.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive facility. This key individual will assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. They may also purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
Key Accountabilities- Maintain and lead daily operations of the Housekeeping function for the entire facility to ensure compliance with Health Fitness client obligations.
- Responsible for cleaning, sanitation and maintenance in locker rooms and restrooms.
- Create and maintain the schedule for all housekeeping staff including handling absences and ensuring staffing level consistently meets requirements. The supervisor will fill in during staffing shortages as a substitute when needed.
- Clean and perform light maintenance on both the cardiovascular and Cybex fitness equipment.
- Ensure that the free weight area is clean and weights are returned to their racks.
- Clearly communicate all necessary information and expectations from management to housekeeping staff.
- Enforce all sanitation policies and procedures as applicable to the Housekeeping function to ensure safety for all facility staff and participants.
- Assist Manager in recruiting and hiring of new Housekeeping staff as needed.
- Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
- Maintain supplies and amenities throughout the club.
- Wash, dry, fold, and replenish towels, member garments, cleaning rags, and mop heads.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher.
- Must have supervisory experience.
- OSHA compliant Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute within 30 days of hire.
- English/Spanish bilingual.
The compensation range for this role is $20.00–$22.00 per hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
